SCHWEIZ POSTER Kantone der Schweiz

SWITZERLAND POSTER Cantons of Switzerland

RETRO POSTER WITH SWISS CANTONS

The Swiss poster collection from s.wert is a homage to the beautiful Alpine country with its diverse cities and cantons. The colorful posters are reminiscent of classic tourism posters, but clearly focus on architecture, as we are used to from s.wert.

Historic cityscapes with a modern twist

Some motifs invite you to linger. Because there are romantic city views such as Murten Castle in the sunset or the view of Bern from the rose garden surrounded by cherry blossoms. For example, the Basel Spalentor is painted in delicate pastel shades and a pink sky shines over Baden in the canton of Aargau .

Strong colors and modern architecture

But movement and traffic also play a role on the wall posters. The Pratteln motorway service area from the 1970s, designed by the architects Casoni & Casoni, is depicted with dynamic lines and rich colours. The traffic is also visible on the Zurich West poster with the Prime Tower office building. The Meret Oppenheim skyscraper by Herzog and de Meuron can be seen on the Gundeli poster behind railway tracks and overhead lines.

Swiss mountain landscapes in a retro look

Finally, the Swiss mountains should not be missing in this varied graphic collection. A starry sky shines above the snow-covered Jochpass in Engelberg in the canton of Obwalden. The church in Mogno in Ticino designed by Mario Botta and the town hall in Schwyz are framed by mountain landscapes and dramatically illuminated skies.

Art, culture and Swiss architectural icons

Art and culture are just as important as the mountains. The poster by Bern Schosshalde shows the Zentrum Paul Klee by Renzo Piano. The Bündner Kunstmuseum by the architects Barozzi/Veiga is shown on the Chur poster in the canton of Graubünden. The Lucerne poster shows the KKL at Europaplatz with the Wagenbach fountain.

The retro posters and postcards are produced and distributed in Switzerland by our partners Jobfactory and Printhouse . The “Cantons of Switzerland” series will be shown for the first time at the Ornaris trade fair in January 2022. That's our pleasure. After all, Ornaris is the most important industry meeting place in Switzerland.

Conclusion: The atmospheric poster collection shows the great diversity of the Swiss architectural landscape. Historical buildings, modern architectural icons and everyday architecture are shown. The art prints with the Switzerland motifs are available in four different formats from Din A3 to Din A0. This makes it easy to find the right beautiful Switzerland motif for your own four walls.
